Our Story
At Dahlia, our work is a reflection of our founder Sam’s Mexican and Native American heritage. These roots are woven into the very fabric of our space, felt in the warmth of our welcome, the natural materials that ground us, and the reverence for Earth-led healing in every treatment.

Meet Sam
Owner/Advanced Esthetician
Sam Zbikowski is the founder and heart behind Dahlia Beauty Bar and Dahlia Skincare. For over a decade, she has practiced as a Board Certified Advanced Esthetician, specializing in brows, lashes, and holistic skin health. Her approach is rooted in a blend of clinical science, plant wisdom, and intentionality, believing that beauty should be grounded, rhythmic, and deeply personal.
Sam’s philosophy is centered on caring for the skin gently and in harmony with the natural world. She designs each session around the unique needs of the individual in the moment, ensuring no two treatments are ever the same. Drawing inspiration from her travels and time spent exploring the outdoors, she often incorporates intuitive modalities like gua sha, facial cupping, and lymphatic flow work to create a ritual that feels as restorative as a day in the wild. Whether she is mapping brows with precision or building a custom home routine, Sam’s goal is to ensure her clients feel confident, seen, and completely at ease in their own skin.
She created Dahlia to be a warm, earthy sanctuary where self-care feels sacred and community feels like home. The name is inspired by the dahlia flower, which is native to Mexico and holds deep significance in her heritage. For Sam, it symbolizes the beautiful connection between ancestral wisdom and the natural world.
When she isn’t in the treatment room, Sam is usually exploring new landscapes, hanging out with her partner, Erik, and their two rescue pitbulls, Carlos and Lola. She also spends her time tending to her small jungle of frogs and geckos. As a lifelong nature lover, she remains a passionate advocate for animals and the earth.
Meet Emma
Advanced Esthetician
Emma (or Emmy) has been a vital heartbeat of the Dahlia team since 2021. With several years of experience in the beauty industry, she brings a wealth of expert knowledge wrapped in a signature calming presence that her clients have come to rely on.
Her journey began with three years at Benefit Brow Bar, where she mastered the art of precision brow shaping. Since joining Dahlia, her passion has bloomed into the world of holistic skincare. Emma is a firm believer in the power of plants and the deep, often overlooked connection between our minds, our bodies, and our skin. Her philosophy isn't just about surface-level treatments; it’s about offering a more intentional path to a healthy glow through organic beauty and lifestyle-based healing.
When she isn’t in the treatment room, Emma is usually found embracing a slower pace of life. Whether she’s practicing yoga or pilates, thrifting for unique treasures, or enjoying a nature walk with a coffee in hand, she finds beauty in the quiet details. She’s a lover of art, classic Hollywood films, and cozy nights at home with her husband, Ryan, and their two cats.

Meet Breah
Licensed Esthetician
Breah is a newly licensed esthetician specializing in facial and body treatments, lash services, and waxing. Her path into esthetics began through her own skin journey, shaping a thoughtful, client-centered approach rooted in understanding, education, and results.
After completing her training, she began her career at Premier Esthetics in 2025, where she continued to develop her skills through hands-on experience and continued learning beyond the classroom. She values precision, consistency, and treatments that support long-term skin health.
Drawn to natural, plant-based products, she believes in their ability to gently yet effectively restore balance to the skin. Her approach is grounded in mindful care that honors the connection between skin, body, and overall well-being.
Known for her calm presence and attentive care, she creates an environment where clients feel comfortable, supported, and truly seen. Trust, personalization, and intention guide each service, ensuring every visit feels restorative and refined.
Outside of the treatment room, she enjoys time with family and friends, traveling, being in nature, and attending live music whenever possible.
